This map is the companion to another map by Grimmel Der Sinus Finnicus von Constad bis St Petersburg benebst den auf seinen Kusten... The National Maritime Museum Greenwich's copy can be seen here.

The mapmaker, Ivan Grimmel (1703-1758), was a German working in Russia and is also known as Johann Elias Grimmel.
