The Greatest Gold Strike in Forty Years
Fascinating promotional piece published by the Lucky Discovery Gold company, promoting a gold strike in Southwestern Colorado.
The map pertains to the Placer Gold mining discovery at the Red Arrow Mine in 1933. Located just east of the Red Arrow Mine, the Lucky Discovery issued stock in 1933 and was promoted in various newspapers for several years.
The mine was located just south of La Plata, Colorado, which is now a ghost town.
