The map shows the routes of privately-owned streetcar lines in San Francisco and the expiration dates of the various franchises. The slogan at the top left reads "For Your Pocketbook's Sake, Take Street Cars Out of Politics...Yes on Charter Amendment 24 Will Do It!"

The amendment sought to revoke all private permits and franchises and give control of the streetcars to the city of San Francisco.
