Wellge's bird's-eye-view provides a fine large view of City of Chattanooga, with significant buildings, streets, rivers, rail roads, and other geographical points of interest labeled.
States of the View
This is a later state of the view, which was originally published by Beck & Pauli in Milwaukee in 1886. The original issue is a lithograph. The present example is a photolithographic image, issued by the Chattanooga Daily Times, with an additional title at the top.
The example at the Clements Library and XX, and the example offered by Murray Hudson are all dated 1887. The Library of Congress notes an example of this image which indicates was issued in Knoxville by the "Tennessee Valley Authority, 1975?"
