Scarce map of Mexico and the American Southwest, etc., published in Paris.
The map provides nice detail in Texas and along the Rio Grande, with emphasis on the roads and towns. The French Colony In Texas (Col. Francaise) is shown, along with a number of forts.
To the west, a number of Indian tribes are named, along with the mines south of Tucson.
Arizona is shown below New Mexico in the so-called "Baylor Line" configuration that existed briefly in the early 1860s, as a political compromise between the Union and Slave holding states.
Rarity
The map is apparently rare. This is the first time we have ever seen the map.
