Rare Chromolithographic Panorama View of Butte -- Published in Montana

Rare Panoramic View of Butte, Montana, published by "Published by Keefe Bros. Post Office News Stand Butte, Mont." and lithographed by Todd Photo & Film Co.

The view provides a fine early image of Butte in 1916, with smelters and other mining infrastructure shown in the foothills thousands of buildings in the foreground.

By 1920, the population in Butte was nearly 100,000. Almost the entire population was directly affected by the mining industry in one way or another.

Rarity

The view is very rare. This example would seem to be a unique survival.
