The view include a key locating 30 points of interest, and is based upon a drawing by Whittock.

The view was one of a series published by Lloyd Brothers & Co and separately issued, including Odessa, Crondstadt, Sebastopol, Varma, Crimea, Kertch, Revel and Riga.
