Rare separately issued map of Mexico City, lithographed by V. de Murguia e hijos in Mexico City.
The map provides a fine overview of the city, including identifying newly opened streets, as noted in the title of the map.
The map includes an inset architectural profile in the upper right corner and an 85-item key, locating primary government buildings, public squares, theaters, schools, hospitals, churches, etc.
Rarity
The map is very rare. We locate no other example in OCLC or no other auction or dealer records, except for the sale of this example of the map in 2017. An academic article written in 2011 identifies a copy at UNAM.
