Latin American Democracy --"The Real Power Is Sometimes Behind The Presidential Chair, But Not In it."

Scarce New York Sunday News map of the Pacific Theater, drawn by Edwin L. Sundberg.

A graphic look at the various presidents and other leaders of Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean, with "a few facts concerning his term of office."

Unlike most of the other war time maps drawn by Sandberg for the Sunday News, this map examines the leaders of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on the history of Revolutionary Democracies, Quasi-Dictatorships, etc., while considering the leaders of each country.

One of a number of Sundberg maps published as Sunday news inserts during the war years. Sundberg was known to have been a pictorial map artist both before and after the war.
