Rare regional map of northeastern Russia, prepared for Peter the Great's survey and published by the Geographic Department of the Imperial Academy of Science.
The map shows Russia's east Asian provinces: Yakutsk, Irkutsk and Undinen with fine detail throughout.
While the outline of Kamchatka is represented fairly accurately, the north Asian coastline, the Chukchi peninsula and the Sea of Okhotsk still show some inaccuracies.
The map is very scarce; we are only able to trace a few institutional examples, mostly in Russia.
