Rare variant edition of this scarce map of Singapore, published by the Methodist Publishing House, Singapore.
The map would seem to pre-date the appearance of this map as a two sided promotional guide map, with advertising printed around the outside of the map, which appeared in Guide to Singapore : showing the principal places of amusement, hotels, wharves, shops, banks, shipping offices, tram lines, R.R. stations, clubs, churches, etc. : town map island, with a directory to the finest scenic motor routes, published by Thomas Cook in about 1921-22.
Rarity
This separately published example of the map is apparently unrecorded.
The Guide book is very rare. We note only the example in the National Library of Singapore.
