Rare vintage pictorial map of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Region printed front-to-back on a 1947 promotional pamphlet for the city.

The main map features the region around Las Vegas in George Ramsey's characteristic red, yellow, blue, and green color palette. There are many cartoons illustrating various activities that tourists could pursue in the area, with humor bordering on the ribald and racist. One scene says "Marriage Licenses are issued immediately the county clerks office 24 each day", and the accompanying cartoon features a man telling a clerk "My name is John, not sucker!" Elsewhere a lone gentleman tells a surprised marriage license clerk "One Please". In one cartoon an Indian chief looks across a canyon at a caricatured enticing young Indian woman and says "How?" A man sitting at a bar says to another "No - I won't give you a dime, you'd probably just go and buy something to eat with it!"

Along the bottom border, the map has illustrations of various dice rolls and what their names are, such as "Snake Eyes", "Little Joe", "Big Dick", etc.

On the street map of Las Vegas, some of the very first casinos to operate in the city are shown. This map predates the renaming of South Fifth Street to Las Vegas Boulevard South. The advertised casinos include the Golden Nugget "Saloon Gambling Hall" and Pioneer Club "Play Your Favorite Games at the Pioneer Club and Cocktail Lounge." The street map is copyrighted 1946, the general map is 1947.

George Ramsey produced other maps for Recreation Publishing Co. in 1947, including a map of Big Bear Lake, and one of Catalina and Avalon.
