This finely executed lithograph shows portraits of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on either side of a full length image of Lady Liberty, with scenes from important events of the lives of each of the presidents at the left and right edges.

Below the portraits are scolls illustrating the Declaration of Independence and Emancipation Proclamation. Liberty's foot sits atop a slumbering lion, likely symbolic of the American defeat of her British colonial masters. To the right, an open set of shakles pays tribute to Lincoln's bringing an end to slavery.
