Neu Orleans Territory
Rare and unusual map of the United States, published in Prague.
The map provides a fascinating depiction of Louisiana Territory, with "Neu Orleans" Territory shown as a regional name for the modern State of Louisiana.
The map extends to the headwaters of the Missouri River, with numerous Indian Tribes named in the West.
The configuration for Ohio and Indiana is very unusual for the period. Georgia is shown extending to the Mississippi River, the map not yet being updated for Mississippi and Alabama.
Includes a large inset of Southern Florida and the Bahamas.
