Hysterical Tahoe With Original Mailing Envelope!

Fine example of this rare pictorial map of Lake Tahoe, "Drawn in Broken English by Jolly Lindgren."

This comic pictorial map is full of puns and comic vignettes related to Lake Tahoe. The Legend includes an entry for "air".

One of the more timeless and colorful lines within the map is at the top right, noting:

In The Old Bonanza Days Virginia City Is Reputed To Have Produced Over $700,000,000 in Gold and Silver. (Almost Enough To Pay The Interest on Our Nat'n'l Debt).

The Lindgren Brothers issued a number of other silly whimsical maps of national parks and other parts of the West. This Lake Tahoe map is one of the last of the series and perhaps the rarest.
